千葉大学の越坂先生とOECDの会議に参加してきました。世界中の医療データをもとに各国に対し政策を調整・提案するという作業の大変さを実感しました。

2020年にコロナで行けなかったViennaに酒井先生と行ってきました。酒井先生の初海外学会発表とは思えない落ち着いた発表姿が印象的でした。

ADA2025 2025年6月 Chicago
千葉大学の越坂先生たちと一緒に参加しました。シカゴはオーランドより涼しいだろうと思って長袖をたくさん持っていきましたが、とても暑かったです…治安は20年前と比べるととても良くなっていました。ADAのLate Braking Poster Presentationに初採択。平山先生頑張りました。世界は肥満症治療に舵を切っていることがよくわかりました。会場の熱気もすごかったです。

EASD2024 2024年9月 Madrid
今回採択は1演題だけでしたが、大所帯で「海外学会に参加してみる」ことを目標に参加しました。発表前に偶然の出会いもあり、リラックスして発表できました。
千葉大学の越坂先生も含め今までで一番賑やかな学会でしたが、この中から2人の後輩が2025年に立派にADA、EASDで発表してくれて嬉しかったです。帰国した羽田空港でとてもおもしろいことが起こりましたが、ここでは書けません…

前回2018年に行った時よりも更に暑くなっていました。当院から2演題Oral Presentationに選ばれました！平山先生は残念ながら不採択…次回に期待です！
気合を入れて渡航するも、行きの飛行機内でスーツを持ってくるのを忘れたことに気づき…発表中も色々トラブルがあって大変でした。千葉大学の越坂先生も一緒に行きましたが手元に4人で写っている写真がありませんでした…

ADA2022 2022年6月 New Orleans
日本はコロナ真っ只中といった雰囲気でしたが、アメリカは誰も気にしておらず、開放感に溢れていました。
千葉大学の前澤先生たちと楽しい時間を過ごせました。早朝近くの湖（片道10kmほど）までランニングしてから会場へ行こうと思ったら、実際にはもっと遠くて発表時間ぎりぎりに会場に到着しましたが、無事発表できました。
